Clear Air

 

Look! You can see the mountain.

The Pocket Fire is still going, but there is some good news. The northern extension of the fire has been contained, saving at least three neighborhoods, including a couple of my coworkers'. The air finally cleared up this morning, and while that is subject to the vagaries of the wind, I think the worse is over for Flagstaff. Areas to the south are not out of danger yet. The monsoon has been spotty and intermittent so far but it looks like it might arrive in earnest in a few days.
