Procrastination Smoke

 

Missing: a big mountain should be in the background.

It is once again smoky in Flagstaff due to a dangerous wildfire south of town. I think a couple of my coworkers may have to evacuate but it's still quite some distance from here. The smoke got so bad after the weekend that it infiltrated my house and I had to use my inhaler.

There is a lesson in procrastination here. I was aware there was a problem with the seal around my front door for some time. I did not fix it, despite it being easy to fix and gaps letting in cold air in winter. Then I ordered a new storm door, and procrastinated on getting someone to install it (it's too heavy for me to do it myself).

Now I get so much smoke in the house that it provoked an asthma attack.

I went so far as to temporarily seal off the front door using packing tape until Home Depot opened. The new seal is installed. I doubt it took 15 minutes to replace.

Facepalm.
